WHAT TO EXPECT

New to Westminster Presbyterian?

Our Sunday worship service begins at 10:25 a.m. and lasts approximately an hour. It is a traditional service with music and singing. If you are worshipping with us in person, don't worry, you won’t be asked to stand up and introduce yourself. An offering will be taken and you are invited to give in support of our ministries, but you are not obligated in any way to contribute. All you need to do is worship God, enjoy the service, and be filled by the Holy Spirit to go back out into the world to make a difference!

Communion is served the first Sunday of each month and sometimes for special events. Our Communion table is open to all.

Each service has a Children’s Moment. Afterwards, children may return to sit with their family or, if they have the wiggles, they can sit at our special children’s tables at the back of the sanctuary and enjoy coloring and crafts during the service.

Following the service, we hope you'll join us for fellowship and refreshments. We have some really great cooks in our congregation and the snacks are really good! Throughout the year, we also celebrate special events with meals after worship. If you come on one of these Sundays, please grab a plate make yourself at home—you’ll leave full of delicious food and with some new friends!

Where am I going?

Our church is at 1275 SW Boswell, the corner of 13th and Boswell in the College Hill neighborhood, just 4 blocks north of Washburn University.

Where do I park?

We have close and convenient parking spots right outside the church on 13th street, and in our beautiful parking lot is just steps away on the north side of Boswell Park.

Which door do I go in?

You can enter the church from 13th street or from Boswell. The accessible entrance is located at XXXX. Friendly greeters will be on hand to answer any questions you might have, and direct you to restrooms, classrooms, or other areas of the church.

What should I wear?

There’s no dress code. When we say “come as you are,” we mean it! Wear whatever is appropriate and comfortable for you.

My children are welcome, right?

Children are ALWAYS welcome at our church and we rejoice in the joyful noises they make, along with every wiggle and giggle!
